About Ochir

The Art of Movement

Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir is an internationally acclaimed Mongolian circus artist, known for his breathtaking chair handbalancing act, performed over 3,000 times across three continents.

He began training as a contortionist at the age of nine, under the mentorship of Tsendayush T., one of Mongolia’s most respected contortion coaches. His talent was first discovered by his uncle, a talent scout, who introduced him to the National Circus of Mongolia.

He later joined the renowned Human Rose contortion studio, where he now teaches the new generation of contortionists along with coach B. Norovsambuu.

A graduate in Drama and Film Studies and the creator of The Legend of Fire—Mongolia’s first theatrical-circus production—Ochir has mastered multiple disciplines, including hand balancing, contortion, aerial straps, and acrobatics.

He has performed with Cirque du Soleil in both CRYSTAL and KOOZA, and has been awarded the Polar Star Medal and the title of Honoured Artist of Mongolia.

Alongside his life on stage, he works in film, television, fashion, and international campaigns. Today, he shares his knowledge through international workshops, retreats, and the AcroMongolia Stage Artist Program.
